Yes, I know it isn't Saturday.
I've decided to change my WI day to Fridays for the summer. Mostly because I seem to get a lot of Fridays off work, but very few Saturdays. I'm kind of just adjusting my life to fit my new work schedule.
This is probably one of the best parts of being a Weight Watcher; I can change the plan to fit my life and needs. And, right now, I don't work a "normal" schedule. So, I'm going to have to change my "normal" WI day.
Since I get a lot more Fridays off than Saturdays, I tend to do a lot more socializing on Fridays. Which, inevitably ends up resulting in eating a bit more and exercising a bit less (my choice, I enjoy chatting over a meal/beer - that's what weeklies are for!). So, I like to have these higher point days as far away as possible from my official WI day.
Plus, I like having one day a week where I purposely don't exercise and can just relax. Spend time with my family and friends and catch-up. For me, this time is like taking a Xanax; it relieves anxiety and takes away any edge I built up during the week. It's vital for my mental health.
Also, now that I'm getting closer to my goal, I'm going to have to start weighing myself more than just once or twice a week. On maintenance, you're supposed to weigh yourself every day, so you can learn your body's fluctuations. I think I'm going to start doing this...the trick is to not get too obsessive about the scale. It's just a number, it's not everything. Friday is the one that counts.
With that being said, I weighed this morning (new batteries! whoop!) and I was up a bit. I'm a bit shocked, but then again I'm weighing a day earlier and my dot is visiting. So, being up .2 isn't a big deal.
New Stats:
Start Weight: 232.4
Current Weight: 146.6
Weight-loss to date: 84.8
Goal Weight: 139 (new goal)
Pounds to Goal: 7.6

I recently changed my WI day from Monday to Tuesday. I tend to like to relax over the weekend and not be so militant. I'm much more disciplined when the work week starts, so Tuesday works. I like your idea of Friday though. I may shift there in the future, but right now Tuesday is working for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like most about WW right now is that if I have one indulgent meal (like yesterday's lunch), I can easily balance it out in the evening (salad and a bunch of fruit). It takes away any kind of guilt about spoiling myself once in awhile.
