June!!! OMGosh!!! Not possible!!!
Okay, possible.
This means that this week has zoomed by, I still don't have a battery for the damn scale (although the local Wally-World said they'd have them in on Friday), and I'm getting closer and closer to 29. I don't wanna.
Okay, fine, I'll turn 29, but only if I make it to goal by then.
Speaking of goal, I should probably let y'all know that I've readjusted mine. 2 and half-ish years ago when I set my goal weight, 145 seemed so far away. But, now that I'm almost there, I
Why? Well, the 145 was only set because it was the top my range for a healthy BMI. In the back of my head I always wanted to be in the 130s, but was just too scared to commit to that number.
But...
Now, it doesn't seem so scary. I'm not going crazy, just to 139. Basically so I have a few pounds to "buffer" myself from going becoming "overweight" again during the holidays and vacation and such. I'd ideally like to be around 135, but first my goal is to get into the 130s, see if I can maintain that without too much struggle, and then I'll re-evaluate and see if 135 is realistic for me.
So, new goal: 139 by my 29th, which is roughly 10 weeks away. Let's hope WI on Saturday is a good start in that direction!
I keep reading that BMI is a BS stat. I don't know who to believe. I've set my goal at 135, but I won't be horribly mad at myself if only get to the 140s.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Saturday!
BMI definitely doesn't tell the whole story about someone's health, but it's still the best (mathematical) way other than body fat testing to determine a healthy weight. I did a BFT when I was in the 170s and according to that, I was fine for a women, but I know I didn't feel well. I go with BMI, because, statistically at least, the lower it is, the better your overall health will be.
