Teeny by Halloweeny: Cleanse

I'm failing at this blogging thing this week. Partially because I've been working way too much (why does my boss schedule me MORE after I take a couple days off?) and also because I just feel like poo. I'm still bloated and swollen and achy from my party over the weekend. I can normally see the veins in the back of my hands, but they are currently invisible. I now have cankles and a tummy pooch I haven't had in months. Ugh.

So...no weigh in for the last few days. I knew it would be bad. I also didn't stay in my points.

FAIL.

But, tomorrow is a new day and in that spirit I'm going to do a little three-day mini cleanse to reset my system. I don't do anything crazy when I cleanse (I've done this cleanse many, many times before) and I typically only do it for three days or so. Curious about what I do? Read on.

80 to 100 oz of water/tea a day. I can still have coffee, but I have to limit my half and half.
No soda or alcohol.
5-7 servings of fruits a day.
5-7 servings of veggies a day.
Whole grains only - absolutely no sugar or white flour products.
Natural peanut butter is allowed, but limited.
Very little milk and no meat.
30 to 40 minutes of light exercise like walking or yoga (running is too strenuous while cleansing).

This cleanse is very gentle, no shakes or cravings really. It just gets all the crap out of your system (both literally and figuratively).

I won't weigh-in until Monday...only because the first day of the cleanse can make me even more bloated and swollen, and I just don't want to freak out. Hopefully by Sunday I'll feel more human. Instead, I'll post about some other fun weight related things. Just cuz. My blog, my rules, right?
