WLJ Weekend Update: 7.16.11 - Doing what scares you

I don't remember who said it or if I read it somewhere, but I once heard this and it's stuck with me:
"Whatever you are most scared of doing is probably what you most need to do."
Which brings us to this morning...after 3 weeks of overindulging, under exercising, and just overall apathy about my weight loss, I was scared to get on the scale this morning.  Which means I really needed to so I could have a "come to G-d" moment with myself.  Also, it means I'm back to giving a scale, an inanimate object too much power over my life.  And I'm using some number to decide if I'm going to feel good about myself.

No more.  I'm taking that power away and putting it back where it belongs: with me.

This week, I'm going to do something I've never done before: put my daily weight up online for all to see.  I'll also post the previous day's food intake and activity.  This is both for myself (to keep myself accountable) and for y'all - I want you to see just how much my weight changes in a week and how much it fluctuates so you can see how little that number should matter in the day to day.  Also, I want y'all to see what I eat so you can see how average I truly am.  Anyone can do this!

So...the number.  I know I haven't even tried to track this week.  Or make good food choices.  So...I know this number is going to be something I don't like...

Come to G-d Moment Weight: 149.2

That's the most I've weighed since May.  A 5.2 pound gain in one week is a wake-up for anyone but, I know that some of that is bloat from all sweets I allowed myself to eat this week.  And it makes me super motivated for this challenge - I want to show y'all that one bad weigh-in shouldn't make you quit your WLJ.

Things you should know before the challenge: I get 29 PointsPlus to eat a day, plus 49 weekly "fun" PointsPlus to eat a week.  I eat all of them.  If I get enough activity points to have earned more than 28 (not uncommon for me) then I eat anything beyond 28 (otherwise I feel like I'm starving).  I also take some medication for my PCOS, and I've been slacking on it lately, so I'll be keeping track of that as well.

I won't have a ton of time to post this week, so my daily posts will be short.  I think they'll follow this format (all info in this is an example):
