Beauty/hygiene Items:
- Olay Complete UV Protection Moisturizer with SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin - women in my family tend to age pretty gracefully, but I'm not taking any chances. This is the only moisturizer I've ever used that doesn't make me break out.
- Burt's Bees chap stick (various varieties) - I have large lips that both chap and burn easily. Burt's Bees uses only natural ingredients and personally I like the pomegranate variety because it gives me just a bit of color.
- Bare Minerals Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black - one of the ways I know G-d has a sense of humor is that I was blessed with thick, dark hair and thick, dark eyebrows but thin, blond eyelashes as well as allergies that make my eyes water when I wear most mascara. This mascara solves both problems.
Household/Misc Items:
- Toilet Paper - I think this is pretty self-explanatory.
- Sketchbook and Pen - I am inspired at the most random times and need a readily available way to record my ideas. Currently I use an EcoJot journal I bought at Barnes and Noble, but I'm not loyal to any brand.
Clothing Items:
- Bra(s) - I'm busty and I'm just not comfortable without a bra. Only time I don't wear one is when I'm bathing. In fact, I wear two when I run.
- Wool Pea coat - I live 10 miles from the Iowa/Minnesota border. It's cold here, but I refuse to wear a Columbia all the time because I only want to look like I'm skiing when I'm actually skiing.
Electronic Devices:
- MacBook Pro - Stella (yes, my computer has a name) keeps me connected to the world and allows me to blog. Love her.
- iPhone - I use Suzie (yup, named my phone too) for just about everything: music for running, calendars, Facebook, and as a phone.
Weight Loss Items:
- Weight Watchers Online Tools - I track my points eaten and earned as well as talk with others losing too. Keeps me motivated from day to day.
- New Balance running shoes - I'm flatfooted and have some joint issues but I love to run, NB keeps me going while minimizing the pain.
- Health-O-Meter Glass Scale - most accurate home scale I've found for under $50.
- Measuring Cups and Spoons - If you have never measured out what a single serving of food is supposed to be, you'll be amazed how much you are actually eating. I measure anything new and then learn what a single serving looks like - my biggest tip to people trying to lose weight.
Food Items:
- Blue Bunny Bunny Tracks Ice Cream - peanut butter cups, chocolate covered peanuts, caramel, chocolate all in vanilla ice cream. 'Nuff said.
- Coffee with fat-free half and half - I can't make it through the day without it. Well, I could, but nobody would like me.
- Skippy Reduced-Fat Peanut Butter (chunky or creamy) - I eat it almost every day, I'm not a big meat eater so it provides some much needed protein. Plus, it's yummy.
